can a registered sex offender get a job situated near a school?

can a registered sex offender, who is still on probation, work a job that consist of being around kids?
the business doesn't necessarily deal with kids but rather is located near schools.
And the registered sex offender would have to work in clientele's home to install fish tanks.

by LAW is this registered sex offender allowed to do this?

level 3 sex offenders can even live near schools. theres a daycare on my street and i looked online and 2 houses away from the daycare lives a level 3 sex offender. if they can live that close im sure they can work that close
