Children, they, opposite, room, share, cannot

Can Children of the opposite sex share a room? It is a law that they cannot?

We have a 1 year old boy, a 7 year old girl, and a 11 year old girl. The oldest girl wants her own room. The mother of the 1 year old boy states that children of the opposite sex cannot share the same room that it is a Michigan State Law. Can someone tell me if this is a law?

They're your kids, you can do put them in whatever rooms you want.

The boy is 1 year old, it really doesn't matter.
